Borrowing Items
Borrowing items is really easy:
- visit the library and bring your North Yorkshire library card with you.
- choose what you want to borrow and “check out” using the automatic machine or, if you prefer, one of our volunteers will issue the items for you at the counter.
- you can borrow up to 10 items at a time for a period of three weeks.
- if you can’t find what you’re looking for, a volunteer will be pleased to search the catalogue for you or use the online catalogue search and then reserve a book.
- books are loaned free of charge but there are charges for borrowing some items, such as adult audio books and DVDs.
- you can borrow e-books on line using Borrow Box.
