Adult Reading Challenge

What is it?
The Adult Reading Challenge is a simple, fun, and welcoming way to encourage adults to read more, rediscover old favourites, try new genres, and enjoy the wellbeing benefits of reading. Complete the entry form and you may win a book token (one winner for each Library) and all completed entries will be entered in the Prize Draw, which will take place by 1 May!

Who can take part?

  • Anyone aged 18+ with an adult library card.
  • Non-members can join the library before taking part.

When is it running?
From 19th January - 12th April 2026. Entry forms must be returned by 12 April. Unfortunately, late entries cannot be accepted.

Where is it running?
In all North Yorkshire libraries – both County-Run and  Community-Managed Libraries.
