On Wednesday 17th August from 2pm
Afternoon tea to raise money for the charity Breast Cancer Now
Donations of cakes or raffle prizes would be welcome, or donations to the charity itself using our collection boxes. Boxes will be in the library w/c 15 August.
Please come along to the library, share a cuppa with us, buy a raffle ticket, play some games and let’s see if we can raise even more money this year than in the past!
Our volunteers are continuing to do a wonderful job working in the library despite it being very warm at times. They’ve also had to contend with various technical issues.
We’ve managed to cover catch up holidays, illness and appointments – thank you all very much for everything you do.
Especial thanks go to Hilary and Laura (and husbands!) for their contribution to Settle Flowerpot Festival. We have some very jolly bookworms opposite the library.

Friends of the library
We welcome anyone who wishes to support the library to become a Friend of the Library. The scheme is being relaunched soon, but in the meantime please contact the library for more information. Also, if previous Friends wish to send their donation of £10 to the library, we would very much appreciate it. It will help us to fund more events for children and adults, keeping them at low cost or free to those attending.
